What is PIKE on a Bike?

From November 12 to November 18, 2025, the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE) at the University of Colorado Boulder will ride a stationary bike and run on a treadmill for 8,480 minutes straight, with each minute symbolizing one of the pedestrians and cyclists tragically killed by drivers in 2024. The event, known as “PIKE on a Bike,” will begin on Wednesday, November 12 at 3:08 PM and conclude on Tuesday, November 18 at 12:28 PM, the exact time of day when Magnus White was struck and killed by a driver in 2023. Last November, our chapter rode one bike for 8,423 minutes and raised over $56,000 for The White Line Foundation, honoring those lost in 2023. Sadly, the number has risen, which is why this year, we’ll run and ride for 8,480 minutes, representing every life lost in 2024. Coming new this year, is the treadmill and a bike, the brothers, will keep them running the whole time. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to support The White Line Foundation’s mission to improve road safety, change driver behavior, and advocate for stronger legislative reforms.
