Grassroots Celebrates Its Third Anniversary In Pueblo Colorado

This is for you. Let’s ride some bikes.

Grassroots Gravel is for everyone. Founded by a Pueblo Local, Adam Davidson, Grassroots enters its 3rd year.  If you look at this event, how it is run, the organization put into it, and the overall production, you would swear it is a 10th year event.  Grassroots Gravel brings pro-level event production and focuses on the people. Everyday riders. Brand new riders. Seasoned pros. We’re all out there to have fun and push ourselves. This is for you.

A 2 day gravel cycling festival, race and bicycle industry expo

The race and festival has grown to include a two day outdoor industry expo, Friday night concert presented by T-Fiber and produced by SoCO Student Media featuring award-winning bands Los Mocochetes and The Savage Blush, and Saturday night afterparty featuring international drum & bass DJ BC#9. Also new for 2025: racers on the longest course will be challenged and awarded in the Solar Roast Coffee Climb, a massive hill segment west of Beulah with coffee and cash podium prizes.

The 2025 event will take place in the heart of downtown Pueblo at the intersection of Main Street and Alan Hamel Avenue. Over 1,000 riders are expected (including hundreds of Puebloans!) and spectators are encouraged to cheer on the race departs and experience the festival.

4 course options for cyclists to choose from

Four course options range from 15 to 113 miles and are primarily on the gravel roads of Pueblo county. The event offers a full range of top-tier support so every person at every pace can experience it. In 2024 that included over 800 registrants from 28 states ranging from internationally recognized professional cyclists on race podiums to local youth, first-time racers, and everyone in-between.

This is an event and experience for everyone. It’s an opportunity to push personal limits – whether that means completing your first race, accomplishing your longest ride, or attaining a professional-level podium. Developed in partnership with local stakeholders, leaders, grassroots organizations, businesses and citizens.

A bicycle event that gives back to the community

A portion of event proceeds each year goes to support the Grassroots Gravel Ride Together Grant as well as a huge range of nonprofits, education, and access initiatives. Beneficiaries and partners include Red Creek Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo, Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center, Beulah Fire, Bicycle Colorado, Adaptive Adventures, Ride For Racial Justice, Radical Adventure Riders, and more.
